Ensemble Alioni's 2015 Tour to Georgia
Photos from the city of Tbilisi -Page 2
On the second day in Tbilisi we took the funicular (cable railway) up the mountain to see the view!
(Click on any image to see the larger pictures.)
Later we went for a walk in the park with some local Georgians who are friends from a previous visit to Tbilisi, and we saw unusual mountain inspired architecture. Then some additional food photos: a typical breakfast at our Tbilisi lodging, and a fancier egg dish in a bread bowl.
Our final night in Tbilisi -- staying awake for a midnight dinner below an ancient fortress, it's another amazing adventure in Georgia! We've experienced the generosity and hospitality of friends from past visits and new Georgian friends we've made during the tour! Thanks to everyone we met in Georgia, and to everyone here in the U.S. who attended Alioni's events and concerts, bought our recordings, made donations, or helped us to achieve this tour in so many other ways!!

Georgian singing is a living folk tradition, which is shared person-to-person.
Ensemble Alioni's inspiring goal is to study with master singers from the
Republic of Georgia. We use your donations to bring Georgian singing teachers here
and, when possible, Alioni makes the long journey to learn in Caucasus Georgia.
The knowledge and skills we gain are used to teach you and others in the Chicago area this unique, traditional music and to share the excitement of singing together.
We also perform these spectacular Georgian songs in concert
to the delight of our audiences!
Please take a few minutes today...
You make it possible to keep the teaching and singing of Georgian music alive.
We are grateful for your donation of any size!
